Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle hands-on form of bodywork that has a deeply calming effect on your central nervous system (CNS) and works with the body's innate ability to heal itself.

Your central nervous system consists of your brain and spinal cord, from the cranium (cranio) to the sacrum (sacral). The craniosacral system includes the bones, soft tissues, and fluids that protect your CNS. Almost every structure and function in the body is influenced by your brain and spinal cord so any dysfunction in your craniosacral system can have a profound effect on you. Dysfunction can happen for many reasons including trauma, injury, muscle tension and postural patterns. In a Craniosacral Therapy treatment, delicate manual techniques locate, assess, and release problem areas and improve the form and function of your CNS.
What to expect
My intention is to give you an opportunity to feel safe and good in your body with compassionate touch and caring presence. I combine Craniosacral Therapy treatments with soothing massage of the scalp, hands and feet to help you settle in and relax. During the treatment I will gently hold areas of your body (such as the feet, sacrum, chest and head) and listen through my hands to what your body is communicating. In this meditative space, your body has the opportunity to speak through its rhythms and tension patterns. As your body is ready, the release of held patterns and a return to balance can be facilitated through manual and/or somatoemotional release techniques. Clients often feel deeply relaxed.
The client remains fully clothed and simply lies in a comfortable position on a padded treatment table. To support health and reduce the spread of viral infection, face masks are required by client and therapist. Thank you for your understanding!

During my years studying art in college, I felt drawn to attending a Reiki class and enjoyed it so much I kept going! Through practicing and the guidance of my wonderful teacher, I learned how profound intentional healing touch and presence is. I found it extraordinary that I could listen with and feel energy through my hands and thus hold space for people in a way I had not known was possible.
I went on to attend massage school so that I could offer Reiki more formally through a bodywork practice, first in California where I grew up, then in New Hampshire where I now reside. Over the years I decided to expand my skills in Craniosacral Therapy and am now offering it as my main service. From personal experience and as witness to the anxieties, stresses and pains our communities are experiencing, I see how incredibly valuable this particular therapy can be right now. How valuable it is to be heard, seen and held in a safe space; to help your body and mind feel ease and calm.
